How to add search item in Navigation Menu in Oracle Apex

 To add a search item to the navigation menu on Oracle APEX   using a plugin, you can follow these steps: 


  1. Open the Navigation Menu page in Oracle APEX.
  2. Click on the "Shared Components" button in the top right corner of the page.
  3. Select "Plugins" from the list of shared components.
  4. Click on the "Import" button and select the plugin file you want to use to add the search item.
  
                      



  1. Follow the instructions to install the plugin.
  2. Once the plugin is installed, click on the "Navigation Menu" button in the top right corner of the page.
  3. Click on the "Edit" button next to the navigation menu you want to add the search item to.
  4. In the "List of Entries" section, click on the "Add Entry" button.
  5. In the "Add Navigation Entry" dialog box, select the plugin from the "Type" dropdown menu.
  6. In the "Plugin Name" field, select the plugin you just installed.
  7. In the "Display Sequence" field, enter a number to specify the order in which the search item will appear in the navigation menu.
  8. In the "Plugin Settings" section, enter any additional settings required by the plugin to function properly. This may include things like the target page for the search functionality, the search icon to use, and any security settings.
  9. Click on the "Next" button to continue.
  10. In the "Set Security" dialog box, select the appropriate security settings for the search item.
  11. Click on the "Create Entry" button to save the search item.
  12. Click on the "Save" button to save the changes to the navigation menu.
  13. Now the search item should appear in the navigation menu on your Oracle APEX application, using the functionality provided by the plugin.
